Just a note

Make It Monday #58- Graduated Backgrounds

Today i'm back with another card that I made for this weeks Papertrey Ink Make It Monday ( I know two in one week...WOW) challenge. I have so many copics that don't get enough use and this is a perfect challenge to give them some love! For this card I got a chance to play with my new Wrought Iron and Little Bitty Birds sets, plus a few little pieces from other sets. My little finials on my fence came from the $5.00 Mehndi Medallion set. I don't know how well this will show up on screen, but I used Aleene's Paper Glaze on my water in the bird bath...I love how real it looks! I wish I had masked off the birdbath, but I was way too far into this card before I thought about it... oh well, next time.

After posting this I decided to add a little birdie to my sign, so I thought i'd share!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy Spring!

Today I am playing along with Papertrey inks make It Monday challenge. We have been having such beautiful weather here, that I just had to make a "springy" card! You can click here to watch Nichole's video and make your own graduated background. It is such a cool technique, I know I will be using it again!

I use the butterfly die from Happy Trails and masked off a couple of butterflies before I started the copic technique. Once I was done, I just took off the mask and stamped the butterflies in my white space.

Here is a little closer look at my card

These are the Copic markers that I used to create my background

Thanks for stopping by today, and Happy Spring!

I Often Think of You

Today is Papertrey Ink's final day of their fifth Anniversary celebration, this means the new goodies will be released tomorrow @ 10:00 p.m.
They challenged us today to Create a new project that showcases some sort of interactive feature.
So, I created a slider card using the PTI Christmas Label Die and one of the small Angled Labels Dies.I also used the button die from PTI as my slider, then place Bloom Builders #3 flower on top of the sandwiched buttons.

Here is a little closer look at the sliding flower.

PTI Anniversary Day 5

Todays challenge was to take inpiration from something you have seen on pinterest.

What i've pulled from the picture below are the beautiful textured butterflies.

With the mild winter that we have had so far, I think spring will be right around the corner!!
For some reason while I was on pinterest today, yellow kept catching my eye, so i went with it!

PTI day #2 challenge

Today Nichole gave us free downloads from PTI's stamp designers and challenged us to make a card with them.
So I picked these adorable little chicks by Lisa Johnson. I've had this chick paper for about a year and this download gave me the perfect opportunity to put ot to use!
