This months blog hop challenge is to use tissue paper. I know allot of you out there have been using tissue and making some amazing cards,so I decided to try my hand at it! So here goes my first shot at tissue paper .I started off with PTI Sweet Blush cardstock, then layered a piece of Fancy Pants Designs patterened paper on that.I then took a piece of PTI Ripe Avocado and cut it in the shape I needed and embossed it with PTI Picnic Plaid Impression Plate. Then I cut strips of tissue paper that my stamp sets are wrapped in when shipped. I sprayed some of the strips with Tattered Angels glimmer mist before making the roses and sprayed some after, you can see this by the variation of color.I used May Art silk ribbon to twist around my roses.I also strung some glass beads from my stash on some thread and threaded it through out the ribbon.I used some say it in pearls bling by Prima through out my card. The frame is by Tattered Angels, I inked it with Distressed Ink by Ranger. PTI Sweet Blush is in the center of the frame, with the sentiment from Delightful Dahlia stamped in Ripe Avocado. The butterfly is punched with a EK Success punch. The filigree circles are from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!!

Today I am playing along with a challenge from Ted's blog, Happily Ever Crafter. The Challenge is to make a Mother's Day card and you are not to use flowers or floral buttons, floral images, floral embossing, etc. you are not to use pink, mauve, lavender, or purple.

My cardstock is PTI Ripe Avacado and Spring Moss. I use some emphera made by Distinct Marketing Designs. Say it in pearls by Prima. May Arts ribbon. The frame I just bought, but I threw the package away, I think it is by Tattered Angels.I inked the frame with Ranger Distress ink in Old Paper and also used Diamond stickles to highlight areas . The butterfly and Plume are Jesse James buttons. The patterned paper is K and Company.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

I started scrapbooking several years ago, as a scrapbooker I loved to use unconventional things on my pages. Well today I did the same with this Trio of cards! The card stock is PTI Stampers Select White, Hawaiin Shores, Hibiscus Burst, and True Black. The top half of the card is an overlay by Hambly screenprints. The lower portion of the card is a mesh bag from some produce, I say "some" because I don't remember what I got in it as I have saved several different ones. The flower is stamped with PTI Delightful Dahlia, the sentiments are from three different PTI sets. The organdy ribbon is from Jo Ann Fabrics. The pins are by Dritz. Black brads are from my stash. I also used score tape and glitter. I hope that I have inspired you to look around the house and use something unconventional!!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!!

I finally had a chance to play! The last week or so seems to have been so busy I didn't even get a chance to get into my scraproom. Well I finally made it in there and got a chance to ink up my Year of flowers daffoldil set. I am new to copic so my coloring skills are that great yet ,but it was still allot of fun using them!
This is what I came up with, a bright, cheery, spring birthday card.
I started with vintage cream cardstock as a backdrop. Inked diagonal stripes using PTI Distressed stripes and SU! Summer Sun ink. Stamped happy birthday using a sentiment from Delightful Dahlia on PTI lemon tart cardstock, then scored top and bottom of the strip. Used PTI lemon tart ribbon. Stamped the daffodil on PTI Stampers select white and colored with copic markers. Added Crystal Sticker Elements to both sides of sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my card!!
