Have yourself a merry little Christmas...

Just a quick post to share this years Christmas card. I pulled out my Papertrey Ink,  In The Meadow set to make my cards. I don't think that I will ever tire of this set, I just love it. I did a little masking and sponging to create my scene. Flicked a little white paint, for my snow, stamped my images, added a little more paint and some glitter...and here's my card.

Creative Chemistry Day 5

I only had supplies for one of todays projects, hopefully my goodies will come in soon!

Chalkboard

I have done chalkboard cards before, but not with these products! So cool!

Creative Chemistry Day 4

I must say this was one of my favorite days in the classroom! I have always loved the beauty of alcohol inks, and love having new ways to use them.

Is this Faux Patina gorgeous, or what!! Love!!

Creative Chemistry Day 3

Sharing a few more projects from Tim Holtz online class.

Creative Chemistry 102

I have been taking Tim Holtz online class (my first ever) this week, all I can say is WOW!!
He has packed this class with so many cool techniques, if you love his products, I highly recommend  this class. I decided to join this class last minute, so I didn't have all of the supplies that I needed, but I do have lifetime access to the class. I'm going to share the projects that I was able to complete, and I can't wait for my orders to come in, so I can play some more!

Day 2 projects

I only have one of his layering stencil, but that is about to change!! He showed us so many cool ways to use them.

So long SAF 2013

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Closing Ceremony

I crafted alone for SAF, which is probably a good thing, get me and two Golden Retrievers in my little space and there is not much room for anything else!!

Below are all of the cards that I created during SAF 2013.

Sugar Coated!

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Sweet Sugar Coated Embellishments

For this one I used Dawn McVey's "puffy" sugar coating technique. I think this is one of the best winter set that PTI has...I just love it!

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Limited Ingredients Challenge

The-Challenge
Here is the list of supplies you are able to use for this challenge.  You don't HAVE to use all of these supplies, but you cannot use anything that is not included on this list(except for a neutral ink, like white, gray and black)
  • white cardstock
  • white or transparent glitter(Prisma Glitter)
  • 1-3/4" circle punch or die
  • 1" strip of light gray cardstock (Soft Stone)
  • melon cardstock & ink (Melon Berry)
  • aqua cardstock & ink (Aqua Mist)
  • golden yellow cardstock & ink (Harvest Gold)
Here is my take on this challenge. I know it doesn't say anything about the Take Three die, but I noticed that Nichole and some of the other girls used other dies, so I hope it's all good!

Scent-sational

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Whipping Up Scent-sational Cards

This was a pretty cool technique that I have never tried. I used cherry Kool-Aid, which worked fine, but was a little coarse. I think the sugar-free jello/pudding might be a little finer.
I love the deep red color that the Kool-Aid made my cherries.

Shrink Film

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Custom Accents from the Oven

This might sound crazy, because I have been crafting most of my life, but I have never played with this stuff before!! I decided to shrink the clock and hands from Hands Of Time, after I shrunk my clock, I colored it with Copics. I want to try the Damask Snowflakes like Dawn McVey did, I loved them!!

This was one of my favorite techniques, and I can't wait to play with it some more.I think i will                                                                         add a little glitter to my salt.

SAF mixing Mist

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Mixing Mists to Match

For this card I made Royal Velvet and Canyon Clay mist.I stamped the flowers with Versamark, then heat embossed with white. After the card was done, I kinda wished that I had embossed with gold, I just might have to give that a try!

SAF rolled dough

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Rolled Dough Designs

On this card I rolled a little bit Delight clay, then let it dry. Once it was dry I ran it through my big Shot to cut out my leaves, then stamped them. I also did the Melissa Phillips technique, dying it with re-inkers, then putting it between two sheets of vellum and  then I die cut my flowers.

SAF 2013

The Spaghetti sauce and meatballs are in the crock pot, so the only cooking I have to do tomorrow is crafty cooking! Below you will see that I'm all set for SAF 2013. I should have had myself to bed a long time ago...but I had to tiddy up my craft room, so I can mess it up again tomorrow!

Get Well Wishes

I am getting ready to have a garage sale, and I thought I would get rid of some old supplies that are collecting dust. I went to put this old(2000) Stampin Up! set that contains a daisy stamp in the box, and I just couldn't! So, I thought if I can't get rid of it, I better use it! I paired it up with my PTI Larger Than Life set Which I have never used (blush) and a butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies. I stamped everything in Fresh Snow ink, then went over everything offset with colored ink, then added a little colored pencil. I must say I am very happy with the results!

Seize The Birthday

Anything Goes Birthday Celebration!

When I first made this card I used the small fern like leaf from Turning A New Leaf, stamped in my Essential glue pad, then sprinkled them with glitter. I really liked the results, only to find out that my glitter had to be ultra fine, and what I used just wiped right off. So i had to change my plans and use a sheet of score tape and a die...not really the look I wanted, but I can live with it. So,  I discovered that I really don't care for the The Essential Glue pad!!

Delightful Dahlia

Anything Goes Birthday Celebration!

This is my second post today, and I have a couple more to go!! I have been pumping out the birthday cards this week! Only because I need them this week, and I have been putting them off!!lol
With all of the talk over on the PTI forum  about the new Delightful Dahlia Additions set, I just had to pull out my original Delightful Dahlia set. Look at me using more patterned paper too!!

My little butterflies are covered in glitter...really pretty in real life.

Also entering this card into:

Anything Goes Birthday Celebration!!

I have so much patterned paper, so my goal is to start using it more. I love to go through several pads and see what papers I can put together. I think that comes from my love of decorating!

I'm joining the 10 minute craft dash for the first time...wow, is that a challenge!lol
Ten minutes goes by so fast! You know that after I took this picture, I had to fix that bow!
I have used Erin's watercolor technique for the PTI Make it Monday challenge.

Happy Birthday!

Summer brings a lot of birthdays my way (including mine), so there are lots of cards I need to make!
For this card I decided  to join in on a couple of challenges over at Moxie Fab World . The first challenge is for the  Tuesday Trigger: Scene in Tangerine Revisited, hence the colors of my card. The second is for
This was the first time that I used my Papertrey Ink Pedal Pushers set and dies, how fun!

Happy 4th of July

When I saw this card that Betsy Veldman made during Papertrey Ink's May release, I just new that I had to give it a try! I had the perfect occasion, a July 4th birthday. It was a simple technique that packs a lot of punch. I added a little bit of Star Dust (my favorite) Stickles to the center and the tips of the fireworks to give them a little bit of sparkle!

The Sweet Life

Wow! Two MIM's in a row, I'm on a roll!
This week Heather challenged us to make a inked background. I love making these! It amazes me how you can turn a blank white piece of cardstock into something so beautiful, with not a whole lot of effort.

This is the first time that I have used my Hands Of Time set, I think this set is gorgeous! It really gives a beautiful vintage feel to your project.

Thanks for stopping by today, and Happy Spring!!

Springtime Doodles

Make It Monday #107

When Nichole used the Springtime Doodles set, I thought to myself, I think I have that set.
Sure enough, I did! I am so glad she brought this set to my attention again, it is so adorable!
I used copics to color the background, as well as the stamped images. On the larger flower, the stripes on the bee, and the little trail, there is a bit of Stickles to add a little sparkle. You can't tell in the photo, but the bees wings are cut from vellum.
