Just Because

Today my mailman brought me my first few dies from Memory Box...I say first, because I'm sure there will be many more to follow! ;) Is this little spring border adorable, or what!! The tiny butterflies are the negative pieces from their Butterfly delights die. I've also recently bought a few new pads of 6x6 patterned paper, so I thought I'd get that out to play with too! This is also the first time that i've used my new Wrought Iron impression plate from PTI, I think this one will be one of my favorites.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Just a note

Make It Monday #58- Graduated Backgrounds

Today i'm back with another card that I made for this weeks Papertrey Ink Make It Monday ( I know two in one week...WOW) challenge. I have so many copics that don't get enough use and this is a perfect challenge to give them some love! For this card I got a chance to play with my new Wrought Iron and Little Bitty Birds sets, plus a few little pieces from other sets. My little finials on my fence came from the $5.00 Mehndi Medallion set. I don't know how well this will show up on screen, but I used Aleene's Paper Glaze on my water in the bird bath...I love how real it looks! I wish I had masked off the birdbath, but I was way too far into this card before I thought about it... oh well, next time.

After posting this I decided to add a little birdie to my sign, so I thought i'd share!

Happy Spring!

Today I am playing along with Papertrey inks make It Monday challenge. We have been having such beautiful weather here, that I just had to make a "springy" card! You can click here to watch Nichole's video and make your own graduated background. It is such a cool technique, I know I will be using it again!

I use the butterfly die from Happy Trails and masked off a couple of butterflies before I started the copic technique. Once I was done, I just took off the mask and stamped the butterflies in my white space.

Here is a little closer look at my card

These are the Copic markers that I used to create my background

Thanks for stopping by today, and Happy Spring!
