A little twist on I card that I made...

Over at Waltzing Mouse they are having a challenge called tag, your it, they are looking for beauty and elegance.A couple of weeks ago, when I received my first ever order from WMS, the first thing that I made with my goodies was a blue poinsettia card, if you look through my blog it is down there somewhere!! Today, for the challenge, I made a tag like that poinsettia card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

With the Compliments of the season

Today I have another tag for the  Waltzing Mouse Tag, your it challenge. On this tag I combine three different sets from WMS,Text It,Vintage Lables, and Compliments of the Season. I also use a Yuletide border from K&Company.

When I was making this tag I was thinking of a vintage picture hanger
and implemented that into the design.

Christmas tag

This tag that I made today is for the contest going on over at Waltzing Mouse ,called Tag- your it! I got to play with my new WMS and my new tag die from PTI. The angels I cut from a sheet of Graphic 45 paper, then I added diamond dust and mica flakes to their wings.I also added a little mica flakes around the ornament and added DP from Deja View.

Below is a close-up of the top of the tag...you can see that gorgeous mica on the ornament.

Here is a better look at the angels wings.

Happy Halloween!

Today I have a halloween card that I made for my son that is away at college. He probably isn't going to think much of a halloween card at his age, but I'm sure he will love the Panera gift card that is inside!!
Notice that adorable haunted house that is in the back? I picked that up at TJ Maxx for $10.00!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Pastel Halloween card...I know, pastel?!?!

Today I give you my "Trick" of a halloween card! Over on Ted's blog, Happily Ever Crafter, he has his little monthly challenge going on, and I decided to play along. Well the challenge is Trick or Treat... if you knock on his door(email) and he answers Treat ,you get to make a traditional halloween card, BUT if he answers Trick you can only use pastels and a cute image.Click on the link above for full details. I am sure you have guessed it by now,he answered his door trick to me! This was a really fun challenge to see what I could come up with, using pastels on a halloween card!Who ever heard of such a thing!!lol

After looking at this card on my computer,I went back and added more leaves to the bottom of my adorable little puppy,I didn't like seeing the out line.He looks much better now!
Hope you enjoyed my halloween card for today, tomorrow I'll have a traditional halloween card to add.
Will you be brave enough to knock on Ted's door??

Betsy Challenge

Today Betsy posted a challenge to take an everyday card from Paper Crafts and turn it into a holiday card.
Well I gave it a shot, but I do not like the end results. It is something that I don't see myself ever sending out, but hey I guess we all don't like how a card turns out at some point. I thought oh well I spent my time on it and am going to enter it anyway, after all it is Mr Linky that chooses!!lol

PTI Blog Hop

Today is the PTI blog hop and these are the rules to follow:

One of the most fun things about this hobby is the people you meet, whether in person or online, and the things you learn from them.  Now is your chance to show off any skills you might have learned from a fellow stamper, and perhaps even give them a little shout out to thank them for the inspiration they have provided.  Create a project using one of your favorite learned skills and perhaps after a little blog hopping, we will ALL learn some new tips and tricks and continue to pass on the love of this hobby!

Well after reading this I knew had to make something inspired by Betsy Veldman.I love her style, bold colors with a twist of vintage.I have always admired the color palette that she normally uses but have never attempted it,until today. Last week she had a link to an adorable little gift box that I knew I wanted to attempt as soon as I saw it. So here is my take on this little gift box,why not give it a try yourself,it was VERY easy to create.

This is the top of my little 4x4 box

The side of my box

This little metal JOY started out blue and I embossed it white embossing powder, added some glitter while it was still hot then sprayed it with glimmer mist.
This little box was fun to make and I'm sure I'll be making more as the holidays grow closer. They will be perfect for a special little gift or filled with delicious chocolates such as Ferrero Rochers.YUM!

Thanks for stopping by today and have fun hopping!!

I made a couple little 4x4 cards tonight, but my lighting is so bad, this is the best picture I could get. These colors are so much richer than they appear.I will try to capture better pictures tomorrow during the day.
On this little 4x4 I used four different PTI sets and my new Just the Right stamp set! This new fine linen cardstock from PTI is so yummy, and much darker than it appears in this photo.

Hello...

I made this card for the Shabby Tea Room challenge, only to find out that it had already closed!!lol
Oh well at least it pushed me to use colors that I don't really reach for a whole lot!! The challenge was to use soft blues, creams, whites and browns. So I dug deep in my stash and found an old piece of Wild Asparagus paper that had all of the colors! I also found a piece of blue and white paper that I have no idea who makes it. These buttons that I found in my stash just screamed vintage to me.I even incorporated my first doily into the mix.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look!! I appreciate all that have been stopping by and leaving such nice comments.

Natures Beauty

This year I have been visited by some beautiful little creatures in my garden! I cought this butterfly yesterday when I went out to water flowers. The clear winged hummingbird moth I captured a couple of weeks ago. This was only like the second time that I had ever seen one of these. They are a little bigger than a bumble bee.
