MAKE IT MONDAY #202: ANCHORING WITH BORDER AND BANNER DIES

Playing along with Papertrey Ink's MIM again (two weeks in a row, I'm impressed with myself)!
This week I started out with stamping and embossing Stitches and Swirls, then added a water colored background.  Then  I used Shaker and Sprinkles Rectangles as a base to start layering all of my die cuts.

MAKE IT MONDAY #201: COVER PLATE STENCILS AND EMBOSSING PASTE

I made this card to play along with Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge. It's been quit a while since I've played along, it was fun trying a new technique! I made a stencil with my Chevron cover plate, then I used my blending tool to apply some Aqua Mist ink. My next step was to apply Ranger Distress crackle Rock Candy paint. I really love the broken glass look it gave to my Aqua Mist Chevron stripes.

Christmas Mason Jars

I've been busy!!

These little snow globes are just too cute to keep all to myself, so I decided to make jars to fill with holiday goodies and share them!

I had so much fun creating these little winter scenes, I just couldn't stop! The dies are all from Papertrey Ink.
I am in love with all of the glitter houses on pinterest, and these remind me of little micro versions!

The little sleigh and reindeer are a Silhouette file that I shrunk to inside the globe.

This process was very time consuming, a lot of little details X 10!!

In the picture below, you can see that I attached my sleigh and reindeer on thin strips of clear card stock. I also did that with glittered snowflakes in some of the lids.
I'm thinking of filling some of  these jars with praline crackers and some with puppy chow! Yum!!

Olaf Halloween costume

Last week I was asked to make a Halloween costume of Olaf, from the movie frozen, to be honest with you, I didn't even know who he was!! I don't have little ones around, and have never seen the movie! With a little searching on the web, here is the costume that I made!

MIM Tinsel & Tags

I've been playing with Betsy Veldman's MIM Tinsel & Tags kit, and I must say OH WHAT FUN!!
Here are the three globes that I've made so far...the first one I added a little cut of Santa and his sleigh(not included in kit). I also glittered the trees and the roof of the house, which didn't show up in the picture. I haven't decided if i'm going to put this on on a mason jar lid or make a slider tag to be used on a gift.

I just love my little pink house!!

I still have a little work to do to make my "Rudolph" to fly the highest, but hey, it was my first attempt!
This next globe, I use traditional Christmas colors. I also glittered the tree, and added a white tail and spots to my deer.
This little globe, I was going for a vintage feel, I used glass mica flakes on the trees and house roof.

Make It Monday #152: Layering Dye & Pigment Inks

I haven't stamped in a while, and it felt so good to pull out some floral stamps! Boy, it's been a long cold  winter, and I am so ready for warmer weather and gardening! For this Make It Monday challenge, I pulled out several oldies but goodies... Fancy Flourishes, Life, Larger than Life, Day Dreamer, Sending You, and a couple of  Kitchen Sink sets.
