For some reason when I saw this photo, it reminded me of when I use to silk ribbon embroider, which was at least 10 years ago. It was an art that I loved to do, and after playing around with it on this card, I hope to get back at it! I dyed the seam binding an some of the silk ribbon with Melon Berry and Harvest Gold reinker.This card is so soft,and  pretty IRL, I  just didn't capture it to well!

Make It Monday #74: Stamping on Texture

 

This week over at Papertrey ink,  Heather Nichols challenged us to stamp on texture. I had never stamped over something that I had used a impressionn plate on, I love the results! Although I covered a lot of the background, I still love the texture that it adds to this card. I used the  Simple Stripes Impression Plate, then stamped over that with Background Basics: Postmarks.

Make It Monday #73: Stamping on Patterned Paper

Today I'm playing along with Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge. This week they challenged us to stamp on patterned paper. I've decided to make one of my much needed Birthday cards ( I need seven ) for the month of July. I pulled out one of my favorite PTI stamp sets, Daydreamer to start my card. I also added a Little Bitty Bird and a couple of Beautiful Butterflies.
